Recurrent Abscesses – Dr. med. P.-G. V.

Patient: J. A., 48 years old, female

Diagnosis: The patient suffered from recurrent abscesses due to osteomyelitis following surgery on a fracture of the lower left leg with subsequent thrombosis.

Case history: The patient had fractured her lower leg four years previously and had been operated upon as a result. Post-operative progress was complicated by a deep thrombosis of the leg vein and osteomyelitis. Suppurative foci discharged spontaneously. The patient underwent surgery several times with a massive dose of antibiotics. She complained of a strong feeling of tension in the region of the left ankle joint. This treatment had spanned the previous four year period.

Therapy: At first the patient was treated homeopathically although without any substantial change in her condition. After consulting the patient, she was then treated with the BICOM device.

10 therapy sessions were carried out within a 4 week period according to the following pattern:

1.BICOM basic therapy in accordance with conductivity testing.

2. Tissue processes (acute inflammation) programme with a pus swab in the input cup. The input and output electrodes were applied above and below the abscess.

This therapy initially produced a deterioration with more pus being discharged. After this the patient went four months without an abscess.  New abscesses normally appeared after 2 weeks. After these first four months minor symptoms recurred which were treated with seven therapy sessions using the pattern described above, this time combined homeopathically with apis. The patient was also given silicea tablets. The patient was subsequently free from suppuration for seven months. However slight local reactions occurred which were completely healed with 10 further therapy sessions as described above.

Result: The intervals between abscess formation became increasingly long until finally no more abscesses occurred and the patient was symptom-free. The feeling of tension around the ankle joint had also disappeared.
